フィリスのSL英語講座（12）
早いもので、SL用の英語講座をはじめてから、今回で12回を迎えました。毎回15－20個づつ重要な表現を列挙してというすごく簡単な方法ですが、実際に、英語会話の定石として、初級会話で大切なのは；
1）決まり文句を覚えること＝3-400個の表現です。
2）単語・熟語を組み合わせて英作文する。
これらは、難しいことではありません。
しかし、ひとつひとつは、やさしいけれど、「千と千尋の神隠し」というアニメの中で湯屋のボイラー室にいる釜爺（かまじい）みたいに、何千という引き出しから、必要なものを、瞬時に取り出してくる力が必要です。それは、脳のある部分に入っている表現を
さっと取り出すことです。
大学生の頃に考えたことですが、たとえば「アンス」という発音を表す英語のspellingには、3通りあります。
-ance たとえば appearance （＝出現、姿を現すこと））
-ence たとえば existence（＝存在）
-rance たとえば entrance （入り口、入ること）
さぼって、1-2週間英語に触れない日がありました、そうしたら appearance の正しい綴りが appearence だったのか、appearance だたのかが、わからなくなりました。
このことから、かんがえて、25-35才のSL人口のうちで、高校や大学を出てから、5-10年も英語とは、縁のない生活をしておられる方には、SLは、英語やり直しのいい機会なのではないかと思います。
さて、本論です：
