secondlifeという世界に魅せられて、入ってきた理由のひとつに自分の学校で、大学卒業までに学んだ英語やドイツ語をもう一度、学ぶという目的がありました。

ところが、
1）よくヨーロッパの人が、5ヶ国語も話せる、あるいは書けるというのも、半分は本当であるが、半分は「大嘘」であった。
　つまり、片言で、5ヶ国語を操っていて、5ヶ国語できるといっている人もいる.
2）また、アメリカ人であると英語ができるかというと、ただアメリカやカナダなどに住んでいるというだけで、英語がダメなアメリカ人もいる。


以前、SL結婚していた相手の男性は、いつでも「こんな、間違い英語を書いていて、いつも私が直してあげました.
彼は、 I CAN RUN FASTER THEN YOU.
I AM BETTER THEN YOU.

などと、いつでも　比較級の接続詞　THAN　を　THEN　と書くくせがありました。
THENは｢発音」が似ているだけで、そのとき」を意味する「副詞」/「それならば」を意味する「副詞」です。
THANではありません。こういう間違いを日本人ならまったくしないでしょう。

いわば、英語を母国語とするけれど、学生時代に「まじめに勉強しなかった」人の英語です。
（＝日本なら小学校3-4年生のころいつも「漢字のテスト」がありますが、アメリカではspelling　testです。）
話していると、ばれないけれども、書いたらいっぺんに「ダメ英語」がばれますよねーー


昨日書いたMORE　SIMPLE　SIMPLERについて、今日NATIVE　SPEAKER　らしい人に聞いてみました。

この人は、すごく英語はさっさと話しているが、ところどころ、何を言っているのかがわからない部分があります。
しかも、thinkをすべて　thingと書いていますので、たいした人ではないことがわかります。ｗｗ

この人の間違い英語：
1）　so what did u mentioned to her---so what did u mention to her?というべき

2） she should writed in that way---she should have written in this way.
3） Please speak slow and My English is not that good. Please use simple words so that I may understand
-----Please speak more slowly and my English is not so good. Please use simpler words so that I may understand.　
4） it is up to her let her thing whatever she thing i give you the right way
ここは、何を言いたいのかが、まったく不明---
もしも、これが　it is up to her / let her think whatever she thinks about the model sentences i gave you the right way.
くらいと「考えれば」＝それは、彼女しだいですよ/私が今あなたにあげた文について彼女がどう考えようとかの女に考えさせなさい」となる。
5）and you are write not her------you are right not she
6）yes speaking is deferent then writing----yes speaking is different from writing/ yes speaking is different than writing.
7）when they speak i don't thing they use a lot of grammar----when they speak I don't think they use a lot of grammar.

この人は、こんな程度であり、rightを　writeと書いたり、　thinkを　いつでも　thingと書くのです.

SECONDLIFEというのは、アメリカを中心として、英語圏のゲームであり、英語を主として、ほかにスペイン語、ドイツ語、フランス語など使用する人が出ており、日本人が占めている割合いは少ないようである。

日本人のPROFILE（＝プロフィール）に日本語以外はダメとか、I don't speak English.とか、I am not　good　at　English
と書いている人は多いが、それ以外に、英語で書いているが、まったく「英語になっていなかったり/何を言っているのかが
わからないようなことを書いている人もいる。

以前、sexbedをつくっている人の英文の説明書が「むちゃくちゃな英文だったので、正直に「むちゃくちゃよ」と教えてあげたら、よほど「自分で書いたものに「けちをつけられた」と思ったのか、そのひとのSIMのACCESS　LISTにBANをかけられたことがありました。
とくに、その人は「理系の人で、プログラムには自信があっても、英語はダメな
ひとであったのだと思いますが、親切に指摘してあげても、怒る人がいるのはＳＬの特徴であるように思える。


先日　ある人が、私は「英語はダメです」というのを
I am not good with English. Please speak in more simple English. と書いていたので
その英語、おかしいよ、間違っている」と教えてあげたら、インターネットで例文として載っていたから正しい！
アメリカに住んでいる人に聞いて正しいといって「怒ってきた」

ところが、それは、こういうことである。
1）　I am good with English. 英語を使うという段になると私の英語はすごいのよ！　つまり
　　　I am good when it comes to using English つまりwithの意味の使うという意味がでてくる。
　　　肯定文ではいいとしても、否定文では変なことになる。
　　　わたしは英語は上手ではない」という内容は同じでも、
　　　ただ単に「上手/下手」を言うならば、be　good　at(in）　English/ be poor at English(=be not good at (in) English.

　　　それに、英米人でも、英語が正しいとはかぎらず、以前SLで結婚していた私のパートナーはいつでも英語を間違えるの　　　フィリスが直してあげていました。ｗｗ

　　　ロスなどで、住んでいるアメリカの人でも、ただ、アメリカに住んでいるだけで、英語を知っているかというと
　　　メキシコ人とかであったりで、正しい英語を知っている」とは限りません。

2）　more　simple　か　simplerについて：

more　simpleでも分かるし、完全に間違いとはいえないけれど、
Oxfordの辞書の説明のところに：
Although it would be somewhat correct to say more simple, simpler is a better option.
＝「more　simpleと言うのは、幾分か正しいが、simplerという方がよりよい選択である。

語尾が　-le　-some　-ow　-antで終わる形容詞の変化は正しくは；
　simple　simpler　simplest　　noble　nobler　noblest
　handsome　handsomer　handsomest
　narrow　narrower　narrowest
　pleasant　pleasanter　pleasantest

という変化である」
