動詞　find　と　find　out　は意味が違う

*find =［見出す」「わかる」I find the book interesting.
=[その本は、読んでみたら面白いことがわかった」
Ｉ　found it impossible to repair the computer.
=そのコンピューターは修理不能であることが分かった。

*find out=discover=「見つけ出す」「発見する」I have found out the book that I had lost.
=失っていた本を見つけ出した。

*XXX系アメリカ人例　日系アメリカ人＝a Japanese-American
xxxxx-American
もともとは日本人だが、アメリカ国籍の人のこと。

*forget/leave=忘れる/
物事を忘れる⇒　forget
物を置き忘れる　⇒　leave
I forgot his name=「彼の名前は忘れました」
Ｉ　left my umbrella in the bus.「バスの中に傘を忘れてきた」

*forbid/prohibit=「禁止する」Her father forbids her to marry the man.○
＝「彼女の父は、彼女がその男と結婚することを禁じている」
Her father forbids her from marring the man.X
この形は使えない=間違い
Her father prohibited her from marrying the man.○

*pants＝ズボン」のことである。イギリス英語では　trousersという。
slacks=［スポーツやレジャー用のゆったりしたズボン」＝日本では女性用をさすが、アメリカでは男女どちらでも使う。

下着の［パンツ」は、underpants;
女性用は、PANTIES
　男性用は、SHORTS　
一般に、-TYがつくと、可愛くなる。 kitten⇒　kitty「子猫ちゃん」
